A thought for today . . .

             As I slowly carefully look over each picture frame on my bookshelf to see which pictures to change out, I am remembering each memory associated with each portrait.   This one is from Easter. . . Oh, yes, the Baptism . . . His first birthday. . . Hmmm . . . I need to have more pictures of my youngest out . . . I guess it’s true, the subsequent children have less and less pictures taken and displayed.   I finally decide which portraits to change. 

             I go upstairs and dig up the stack of portraits of my youngest.  As I examine and cherish each portrait to decide which ones to put in frames, I am amazed at how different yet the same my son looks . . . Do I display the 2 month old portrait or 3 month old?  The 3 month old portrait looks very similar to what he looks like today as a 14 month old. . . But oh . . . . The 2 month old portrait looks so baby ’ish. . . There’s still a glimpse of the newborn infant . . . Oh my! How he’s changed. . . That’s it. The 2 month old portrait it is.

             As a Mom and photographer, I know our lives can get extremely busy. Taking time to take portraits of our family does not seem to be  a high priority over running to the bank, grocery store, taking the kids to karate, swim lessons, and school.  In a BLINK of an eye, our children grow up and then we wonder where all the time went.  Let me capture these moments in time for you.   I am committed to provide professional portraits at an affordable price—this way I can be there at every milestone: first smile, first step, first anything. . . .
